Gerald is a gentle and sweet soul who's recently been transferred from another animal care facility and then into foster care where he can slowly adjust. Now he is back at the shelter and ready to find his forever home. Upon arrival, it was suspected that he may have been in a house fire, as his fur was heavily soiled with smoke and soot. This could explain why he's been so withdrawn since his arrival. Despite his quiet nature, Gerald is a young boy with so much potential, just waiting for the right, stable environment where he can truly thrive. While his full personality hasn't fully emerged yet, we believe that with the right care and attention, he will blossom into a confident and loving companion. Gerald simply needs time, patience, and the chance to feel safe and secure in his new surroundings. Gerald is bonded with his friend Oatmeal.
Meet Gerald at our shelter during public visiting hours (no appointment needed), Tues/Thurs/Fri 1-6pm or Sat 11am-3pm, or visit www.oahs.org/cat-adoption-process for more information about how to adopt.
All adoptable cats from OAHS are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia, litterbox trained and microchipped.
