My name is Maxine and I originally arrived at the shelter as a lost dog that no one claimed and thankfully I was saved when the shelter took me in. I was adopted and had a great life with my new owner for over a year and he loved me very much, but unfortunately my owner developed some health issues and is unable to care for me, so I am back at the shelter & I am heartbroken. I am 2 1/2 yrs old and I am not only a pretty girl, but I am smart & a quick learner too. If you are an active person....or an active family I would love that and I would be the ideal gal for you. I do have a high prey drive, so small animals such as rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks and cats are not safe when I am around. I am super friendly with every person I meet and I am excited when meeting new people. I also like going for walks and car rides and many times I am just content to to be hang out all day snuggling with my human!
