I'm Cedric, and for almost two years now, I've been the quiet cat who keeps getting passed by.
I was rescued after my former owner moved away and left me behind in an empty apartment. Since then, I've waited patiently at the shelter while the cats around me come and go. Some are chosen in days. Others, in just a few weeks. But me? I've been waiting so long that the seasons have started to blur together.
You'll usually find me tucked away in the background, not because I don't want love, but because after so much time, it's hard to believe my special day will ever come.
Still, I dream. I dream of curling up on a soft blanket next to someone kind. I imagine hearing my name - Cedric - spoken with warmth and affection. And I imagine being chosen, not because I asked for it, but because someone finally saw the humble goodness in me.
