Squeaks came to us in rough shape, battling some pretty serious skin and weight issues, but like a true survivor of the Mesozoic era, he bounced back with style. These days, he's healthy, happy, and always flashing his signature goofy grin. Squeaks was born with a congenital defect in his back legs which keeps him small and gives him his unique look.
Squeaks is house-trained, sleeps through the night, and prefers his crate with a cozy mat, although he's perfectly happy to snooze on the floor or couch too. He's a world-class snuggler and will gently (or not so gently) use his large dinosaur head to request cuddles. Resistance is futile.
He does best in a calm environment, as he can get overwhelmed easily and may bark when overstimulated, consider it his version of a warning roar. He warms up quickly with patient, gentle humans, and treats help... though when they come out, he does turn into a tiny, treat-seeking land shark.
Squeaks enjoys the company of other calm dogs and would love a home where he can be his quirky self without too much chaos. He's not here to conquer the world, just your couch and maybe your heart. Fetch is still a mystery to him, but he's working on it. He enjoys short walks, sniffs everything, and has mastered stairs and couch-jumping with his compact, slightly clumsy frame.
