Serena is an 11-month-old spayed female American Pit Bull Terrier with a beautiful blue and white coat and a gentle, sensitive personality.
Serena is still learning that the world-and the people in it-can be safe. She can be anxious when spending time in the yard or going for walks, but having another dog by her side helps give her reassurance and confidence.
Her absolute favorite place to be is curled up on the couch next to a dog friend. That is where Serena is the most relaxed, comfortable, and confident. She truly thrives around other dogs and will need a home with a friendly, confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes.
Serena does not seek out a lot of human affection just yet, but she is slowly learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. She needs someone who understands that building that relationship may take time and who will allow her to progress at her own pace.
A quiet, predictable home with a patient owner and another dog is exactly what Serena needs to truly shine. She may not be the dog who runs up and jumps into your lap on day one, but with patience, consistency, and a canine best friend beside her, we believe Serena will continue to grow into the sweet, confident girl we know is hiding inside.
