As beautiful as I am and fun to watch at play with my toys and buddies, I'm very nervous in the presence of people and will require some patience when trying to catch me. Follow me, don't chase and talk softly to keep me calm. When you do, scruff me to pick up, and hold me close to gently cuddle. You'll see and feel me relax and if you sweet talk and gently caress my face and pet me, you may even notice that I'm like a rag doll falling asleep in your arms or your lap! It's the cutest thing ever, and it will happen more and more often as we keep practicing! I won't be good with kids until I'm at ease with being handled. If not done gently and with care, or something happens that scares me, I can panic and fidget trying to get down. It would be possible to scratch someone that didn't know what to do. One day I will realize that you love me and I can trust you completely. Help me get used to your approach and your hands by bringing squeeze up treats or little treats along to give me. Let's play with our wand toy and show me that it's fun to be with you! If you want to see me relax and have a great time, have my little toys, a tunnel, a pop-up cube or hut, a cat tree motion activated toys that spend on the ground or in the air to chase and catch. I forget about being scared when I see and hear toys! I also like snuggling with my little buddies, especially when it's time for sleep. Before long that will also be you!
