Meet Athena, a senior dog with a heart full of love. Despite having three legs, she's as energetic and playful as any pup. She enjoys being outside exploring, watching everything, and sprinting around the yard. She also likes car rides, running, toys, walks, chase and wrestling. Athena is house trained but not a pro at leash walking. She might try to escape for an adventure, but she's just as happy being a big 58-pound lap dog and has a knack for gentle cuddles. Athena's affectionate nature makes her a lovable companion who's tolerant and sweet. Athena is friendly and gentle, making her great with children but sometimes she is a little mouthy. She has unfortunately shown behavior towards issues towards dogs at the shelter meaning she will need to be in a home without other dogs. She even recently lived peacefully with three cats. She doesn't mind having her nails clipped but would really prefer not to have a bath. She was given up because her owner moved and wasn't allowed to have a pet.
