Meet Ellie, a young, friendly, and playful dog who loves to explore but is also a bit shy. She weighs 49 pounds and is leash trained and house trained, making her a great companion for both active outings and cozy home life. She's clever and knows the sit, stay, and come commands. Despite her playful nature, Ellie enjoys her lazy moments and can be jumpy and cautious in new situations. Ellie is a bit timid and fearful around children which is why she was returned so children need to be at least nine years old. Even though she is respectful, friendly and playful with dogs and behaves well at the dog park, she is very possessive of her food around them. Because of this, and the fact that she likes to chase them, she cannot live with a cat. She's looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and blossom.
