Meet Dozer, a vibrant and intelligent dog who thrives on interaction and play. His boundless energy and friendly nature make him the perfect companion for active individuals or families. Smart and trainable, Dozer knows his house manners but could benefit from some additional obedience training to channel his excitement and occasional jumpy behavior. With other dogs, Dozer is wonderfully submissive and respectful, showing a gentle side to his playful personality. He's also cautious yet friendly when meeting cats, ensuring a peaceful interaction. However, Dozer's energetic spirit means he can be a bit too rough for young children so he'll need to live with kids at least 12 years old. He can be a bit nervous in new situations or when meeting new dogs at first. Because of his energy and slightly nervous nature he would be best living with another active dog to play with. He loves attention, so he'll thrive with someone who can provide plenty of toys and engagement. He would love a big back yard and lots of people to provide an outlet for his energy. Also he would be best in a house not an apartment so he has a yard to run in. He weighs 47 pounds and likes fetch, running, toys, walks (yes, he leads the way), and chase. He knows the sit, come, no, and off commands.
In his foster home he lived with 3 other dogs. Two 60lb dogs, one of which is a 12 yr old senior, and a 35lb one. Dozer played well with the younger 60lb dog and was respectful of the senior dog. During the day he was outside, in a room with people or a crate. At night he slept in a crate. He loves being petted and is fond of belly rubs. Adopt Dozer for a loyal and loving addition to your home. For questions about Dozer email his foster mom, Wendy, wpmarkgraf@gmail.com. (tw, wm 3/21/2026)
