Tuna is so incredibly sweet, wiggly and cuddly, that it is impossible not to fall in love with him. He is a dog for people who happily share their personal space, because he will be curled up pressed against you whenever possible. He seems to like warmth and happily wears a sweater when it's cold.
Tuna loves walks and walks pretty well, but gets antsy when there are too many strangers close by. For now that means he prefers walks in the neighborhood over a crowded park, until he builds up his confidence. He seems to like dogs but is also a bit scared of them especially the loud barking ones. Tuna is still figuring out how to play with humans, likely because he didn't get that experience when younger so please bear with him if he seems overexcited. He is improving at being redirected to toys, but still needs more work. So, children at home must be 12 years or older. He likes rope toys, stuffies, flirt pole, jolly ball on a rope, and food filled toys.
Tuna is not a social butterfly but is affectionate and cuddly once he gets comfortable. In particular, he needs a little more time to warm up to males, and can get easily spooked by their sudden movements. He will need patience and gentle introductions. He gets under foot a lot, both in the house and on walks, so tread carefully! Come meet Tuna today!
