Meet Mini, a young, lovable, and energetic dog who is looking for her next home and family and to bring them joy with her playful spirit. Despite her excitable nature, Mini is also shy and cautious, often showing her submissive side in new situations. She will need a gentle and patient family who can give her the time and space to warm up, blossom and show her affectionate side. She definitely has one, which you'll see as she begins to settle down. She weighs 26 pounds and likes car rides, chase, and running. She has no experience with children and was surrendered because she did not get along with the dog in the home. Her previous adopter suspected that she did not like male dogs. However, she did very well with another dog at her foster home (49 lb, 1 year old female). She was friendly but cautious with a male foster dog (65 lb, 1 year old) at home before returning to the shelter so she seems to be getting more confident now. If you have a dog, you'll need to bring it to meet her to be sure they get along.
Mini is easygoing with cats. She is fully housetrained and crate trained, and walks well on leash although she likes to lead. She becomes a vibrant personality once she sees the leash and her joyous side shows up. She's truly at her happiest point on walks.
Mini is small in size but big on loyalty and affection once she relaxes. She makes an ideal fit for a laid-back household. Please contact her foster, Ram at CAPdogfoster@gmail.com or (281) 202-9076 for more details. (tw rr 7/21/2026)
