Snoopy is a sweet, goofy, independent-spirited young dog weighing about 55 pounds. I've been fostering Snoopy on and off since he was four months old, and it has been wonderful watching him mature while keeping the goofy, lovable personality that makes him so special. He is fully crate trained, sleeps through the night, walks beautifully on leash, and knows sit, stay, come, and shake-especially when treats are involved! Snoopy is a true "dog's dog" who loves playing with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion. He is very social and loves meeting people on walks-even the mail carrier is his friend! He will even jump into the pool if that's where the fun is (only if it's shallow!) He's clumsy and still doesn't quite know how to swim yet! His coordination can be adorably questionable at times. Playful and energetic, he enjoys games of chase and is learning to respect other dogs' boundaries when they are not interested in playing. Snoopy occasionally pretends he didn't hear you when something more exciting is happening, but his desire for treats and praise usually wins in the end. Nothing really bothers him. He sees the world as a big playground filled with friends, fun, and hopefully snacks. While shelter life can be stressful for him, Snoopy truly shines in a home environment. Once he learns the household routine, he is calm, affectionate, and remarkably easy to live with. Snoopy is ready for a forever home that provides patience, consistency, and structure so he can continue to thrive. Because of his size and playful energy, Snoopy would do best with older children. He also needs a cat-free home. For more information, please contact his foster, Patty, at 713-464-0455 or pattyschrab@yahoo.com. (ps 6/7/2026)
