Do you like your treats sweet and spicy? How about your kitties? I'm Annie, a pretty 2-year-old brown and orange tabby who's been at the shelter since October. I was found at Silver Lake Park, and although I've been featured on Facebook several times, I am still waiting for my forever home. My favorite thing is sitting on a cat tower near the window where I can watch the birds at the bird feeder. When people I am very familiar with approach me, I'll let them pet me a few times while I'm distracted by the birds. Recently, I played with a wand toy for the first time, and I have been playing with a toy mouse in my kennel. I eat Cat Chow as my regular diet, but I get Meow Mix as a treat. I prefer eating out of flat ceramic dishes. Not every cat's personality and comfort level will evolve at the same pace, but it seems that I am now beginning to blossom. I am a very smart cat who can read the signs volunteers give that my exercise time is over, and I run right back to my kennel. I gaze at people with my large, beautiful eyes as if I'm trying to figure them out. Maybe you will be able to figure out what I'm thinking. If we're patient with one another, we can learn to be on the same wave length eventually, can't we? I hope that someday soon I'll go home to be someone's singularly unique girl, Annie.
