Chilla is a gorgeous, velvety soft Chin looking for her new forever home. Chinchillas require a large enclosure and lots of enrichment to ensure they remain healthy and happy in their home. Chilla is friendly and curious and enjoys watching her humans go about life. Like most chins she can be nervous. She would benefit from an adopter who is willing to invest time and be patient to ensure interactions go at Chillas pace, like any deserving gal she needs to get to know her humans to build a safe bond. Chinchillas have specific care requirements, and any interested adopters should research husbandry and diet recommendations prior to applying to adopt.
True to her name, she knows a thing or two about chillaxing. Her favourite activities include sleeping in her house all day and then huddling like a small fluffy football on her ledge while contemplating life and staring into space in the evening. She will politely take pellets and hay out of your hands to nibble on and she loves chewing on apple wood sticks. She's more interested in being cozy and observing than exploring or investigating and she might be the only chinchilla in the world who can sit still for more than 5 seconds!
You can pick her up (which she's unsure about at first and may nibble gently in protest), you can pet her, you can put her in your lap and if you've got her in just the right mood, she'll sit there for an hour, especially if she has something soft to burrow her face into.
