Hoot was pretty angry and anxious when she first arrived in foster care but her foster mom has set her up for success. She has all her cat things in a cozy little corner where she can feel safe but also do all her normal cat things - scratch, nap, etc. as she pleases. She really enjoys her new bed as well as treats and wet food. Her foster mom knows that sometimes shy cats take a long time to trust and she's spending her time now providing care and support to Hoot, without overwhelming her. Hoot is happy to have some soft conversation and to have her space be respected. True to her name, she does like to sit on the top of her "tree top" and watch out the window with her big owl eyes.
