Lucy is a smart, sweet girl who's become a fast favourite amongst staff and volunteers. She's even used regularly to help train new volunteers - yep, Lucy knows the drill and shows everyone how it's done! Whether it's learning new routines or showing people the ropes at the shelter, she's a total pro.
Lucy is a people-loving pup who forms deep, loyal bonds with her humans. She's affectionate and playful, but also values her independence, so you get the best of both worlds. She's especially passionate about toys (balls are her favourite!), and she absolutely lights up when it's time to play.
Lucy also loves her agility trips and is always game for an adventure. If you're hitting the road, she's an awesome passenger who's ready to hit the trails.
Lucy's ideal home is one where she can be your one and only (no other pets, please!). She isn't a fan of other dogs, and cats are just a bit too tempting to chase. But trust us, she's more than enough dog to fill your home with love and laughter.
Lucy is best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy kids who understand the importance of keeping doors and gates secure. A fenced yard would be beneficial for safe zoomies and play sessions, and she'll benefit from ongoing training with someone who's patient and experienced. She's extremely smart and picks up quickly, and is also wonderfully food motivated (this girl loves her Kongs and enrichment toys!).
After over 500 days in the shelter, Lucy is so ready to find her person-the one who'll see her for the incredible companion she is.
Could that person be you?
