My name is Shackleton; I'm quite a handsome and debonair gentleman, don't you think? I'm a sassy senior with lots to say and lots of love to give! My foster family says: Shackleton is a very sweet boy. He greets me a the door in the morning and chats me up for attention. He loves to give me headbutts and enjoys head and cheek scritches, as well as full body pets. He's truly a sensitive soul who takes a little time to adjust to new situations, but once he knows what to expect he becomes a big old sweetheart. He loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap to cuddle, a well as being held and snuggled. He'll show off his appreciation with his fantastic purr machine.
When Shackleton came back to PAWS, he was overwhelmed by all the activity and constant changes around him. He had a really tough time showing off how awesome he was so he went home with an amazing PAWS foster family. They provided him with a calm, predictable home environment where he could decompress and be himself again.
Shackleton is now ready to find a permanent home to call his own. He would very much like to be the one and only pet and is looking for a quiet home with teens and adults who can be respectful of his sensitive nature, but your patience will be richly rewarded with lots of fabulous furry friendship. Shackleton will be available for adoption from his foster home, so if you are interested in meeting him, please go to our website www.paws.org/adopt/online-adoption-process and fill out our online Cat Questionnaire, or call PAWS Cat City at 206-782-1700.
