Beguiling Brandon will sail into your heart!
Brandon is a "mini panther" looking for a fresh start! Brandon's previous life is a mystery to us, having been surrendered to another shelter before arriving at EHS' safe harbour. But now, we have the privilege of getting to know him as we help him navigate calmer waters to his forever home.
ABOUT BRANDON
- At shelter
- Brandon is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.
- He started his stay initially hiding his handsome self from volunteers. While he's still skittish and may run when approached, he's starting to learn that pets and scratches aren't so bad, especially on his cheeks and chin-leaning and purring!
- He's gentle, but as with any cat, can get overstimulated and will show signs with a swishing tail.
- Brandon's curiosity about other cats in the shelter literally brings him out of his "shell" (protective spot in his kennel). He's been spotted climbing his tree to peer at his neighbour and coming to the front of his kennel to investigate another on out time. And now he has some "roommates" of his very own to help him open up.
- Brandon is currently enrolled in EHS's socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help him become more comfortable around people.
- Some skittish cats may remain reserved, while others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways.
- Brandon is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.
BRANDON'S IDEAL HOME
- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children or dogs.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Brandon settle into his new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Brandon with a successful transition to his forever home.
- Brandon would do well with a cat-friendly feline in the home (or adopted with a cat friend from us).
