For over 900 days, Ms. Teri has waited, and we've watched her face grow greyer. At 11.5 years old, it's heartbreaking to see a senior shelter dog get completely overlooked-especially one we think is so great.
Ms. Teri's ideal situation would be with someone to continue her huge success with reactivity training alongside the FKSPCA. She is tackling reactivity with just 10 minutes a day. The training has become Teri's comfort blanket-it makes her feel good. Teri enjoys it. It's fun and easy. It's working. (Please see video)
She may be able to live with small animals, because we've seen her ignore cats and critters (in cages) in the same room. A realistic goal with other dogs would be calmness across the street from neighborhood dogs, and maybe even having a new walking buddy.
She adores people and is one of the most cuddly, affectionate, and loving dogs you'll ever meet. Her favorite place is right in your lap. Ms. Teri is smart, engaging, and eager to please, which has made training her a breeze. Thanks to her personal trainer, former foster mom, our kennel staff and volunteers, she's learned so much-we guarantee she's better behaved than most dogs you'll meet, and her skill set will impress you. She loves car rides, long walks, and is always up for an adventure. She thrives when she gets out because she is curious by nature. At home, she's more than happy to curl up on the couch and watch a movie with her favorite thing: humans.
