Terracotta just turned 1 year old! She's more than ready to find a forever home!
Terracotta loves all people and dogs. She gently takes treats and comes when called. She loves going for walks and is even up for a hike! She socializes well with other dogs and enjoys play, yet she's also completely content on her own. She would make a loyal, lovable companion.
Terracotta quickly and easily house-trained. She sleeps all night in her crate and is content in there for periods during the day, too. She likes having a Benebone to chew on. Terracotta's future owner could work outside the home as long as they are prepared to give her exercise and interaction before and after work.
Terracotta does well living with teens in her foster home (and their visiting friends). She has also done well around young children. She does not have strong barking or jumping tendencies! (These traits can always change in new environments, but her foster family can confidently state that she's not a people-jumper or barker in her foster home.)
Terracotta does have a tendency to chew (and swallow) items made of fabric. Her foster family has been working on this with her, but her future owner will need to continue this to help her stay safe. In return, you will get the joy of watching her grow up as part of your family! She truly is your classic dog companion - loves interaction and exercise, yet also loves curling up on the sofa.
Terracotta can be a little shy when she first meets new people, but she promises that she warms up fast once she realizes you're a safe human!
Terracotta says, "Please ask to meet me today! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!"
