Hello! My name is Jumex, I am a 11 year old, spayed female, short-haired cat. I'm a beautiful sweetheart looking for my forever home after being relinquished to MaxFund in December 2024-through no fault of my own. Life has thrown me some challenges, but I'm ready to find a loving human who will be patient, kind, and give me the fresh start I deserve!
I'm a friendly and playful girl who enjoys wand toys, gentle pets, and just having humans nearby to keep me company. I do ask that you move slowly around me, especially near my head-I came from an unsafe home, so sudden movements can make me nervous. I'm working hard on learning to trust again and getting more comfortable with head scratches. With time, patience, and love, I know I'll blossom into an even more affectionate companion!
I also have a little quirk-I was previously allowed outside to potty, so I'm still adjusting to using the litter box full-time (hence the extra litter boxes in my room-please bear with me!). I'm making great progress, and with a little consistency, I'll get the hang of it.
As for other animals, I have big feelings about other cats... and those feelings are NO, THANK YOU! I am very cat-reactive and need to be the only feline queen in my home. I haven't met dogs or kids yet, but if you have little humans, bring them by to meet me! If you have a pup, the shelter staff can arrange a dog test with a MaxFund dog to see how I do.
I know I have some special needs, but I promise I have so much love to give. If you have a quiet, patient home and are looking for a sweet, playful companion who just needs a little extra understanding, I might just be your perfect match.

The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Closed 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.
