Hey there! My name is Doyle and I'm an 11 year old chihuahua mix! I might be a little guy, but I have a big personality! My journey started when I was found in a cardboard box in San Diego at just one year old. I lived with my family for 10 amazing years, but now I'm ready to find my forever home with a new best friend!
I love walks, especially if there's a lot of sniffing to do along the way! A short hike? Yes, please! I also enjoy lounging in the sun or playing in the yard. But let's be real, my favorite activity is curling up under a blanket with my human after a long day of adventure. Nap time is serious business, but don't let my age fool you-I'm still plenty spunky and enjoy chasing squeaky toys and darting after birds and squirrels. I know some tricks (Sit, Stay, Shake, Spin...you name it!) and I'm always down for a treat!
Here's the thing though: I'm a little nervous around new people. I get startled by sudden movements, so I need someone who can help me build my confidence and work through my reactivity. Because of that, I cannot go to a home with other dogs or young children. I do have a heart condition that requires daily medication, but trust me, it doesn't slow me down one bit. I'm still living my best life and ready to make some new memories!
