Hello! I'm Maverick, a 6-year-old pit bull mix, and I'm ready for a fresh start! I came to MaxFund as a stray, and though I've faced some challenges, I'm making great progress every day.
When I first arrived, I was a bit stressed out in my kennel - new environments can be tough. But thanks to the awesome behavior team here, I'm starting to show my true potential. They've been teaching me some basic manners and obedience, and I'm getting the hang of it. One of my favorite things to do is carry a toy around in my mouth. It helps me feel more at ease, especially during walks or when exploring new places. While I may need a little time to fully settle in, I promise I'll be worth it!
I'd thrive in a home with a yard where I can run and burn off energy. I'd prefer to be the only pet in the home, and I'd do best with kids 16 and older. I like to keep things simple and focused on me. What I need most is someone who understands my needs and can continue helping me grow into the loving, well-behaved companion I know I can be. If you're willing to work with me, I'll show you just how loyal and loving I can be! I'm on my way to becoming the best dog I can be, and I'd love for you to be a part of that journey.
