Hi wonderful people. My name is Banjo, a five-year-old tabby who is sure to win your heart. Because you clicked on my picture, you can see that I am adorable with a soft, fluffy coat and sweet, soulful eyes. I also am playful, have a gentle spirit, and am one of the foremost experts on cat beds, so if you need some advice on which beds to buy, I can be your resident expert should you choose to bring me home.
In order to move on to better things, I will mention some of my past as it is an important part of who I am today. As a kitten, I lived in a nice home with very nice humans. They were so nice that they opened their home to other animals and children, some of whom didn't treat me very well. It wasn't their fault as they didn't know any better, but the ones I was with didn't know how to interact with cats, and they were a bit scary to me, which is why I am still nervous around young children and other animals. The most traumatizing thing that happened to me is something I don't remember very well: I think I got out of my house, and while I was outside, a large dog bit my tiny head and hurt my little skull. As a result, I sustained a traumatic brain injury. My humans did their best with me for a few years, but they thought I would live a better life away from their kids and dogs, so they reluctantly relinquished me to MaxFund. At first, I was very confused, scared, and upset. I wasn't my best self and lashed out at some people and cats, but once I realized I was safe and surrounded by people who love me, I relaxed and appreciated my new, safe, comfortable environment.
Since being here, the great staff figured out some things that have helped me live my best life. I have a medical condition that makes it difficult for my body to regulate my water balance, so I take a ¼ tablet in my food twice a day, which I eat and tolerate well. As a result, I am healthy and expected to live normal lifespan. The other change they made was put me on a diet, which I don't appreciate as much as the pill if I am being honest. I love a good meal like anyone. Hopefully, when I get to my forever home where I can run around and maintain my weight through activity, I can stop dieting.
I am living a great life here. I have a variety of beds that I do my best to test thoroughly. I feel the need to repay the kind folks here by providing them a service, afterall. I like them all-hidey beds, fluffy beds, basket beds. Hey, I am a very open-minded guy. I enjoy the cat tower in my room, which allows me to experience the world from different heights. I also love to play, especially with wand toys. I love to wiggle my butt and chase after the ribbon on the floor and leap to super-human heights when it is waving in the air. I also like tossing around stuffed mice. I am not the biggest fan of the outside as I experienced some trauma there, but I love my indoor life.
While I have a great, comfortable life here, what I want most is my furrever home in which I can be the only cat loved and doted on by my persons. I promise to continue testing all the beds you have in your household to make sure they are comfortable enough for you and your guests, and I will protect you from those menacing stuffed mice and wand toys that may sneak in and frighten you. I cannot wait to meet you.
