Hello! My name is Hope, I am a 1 and a half year old Husky mix, and let me just say that name suits me perfectly. I have a very tragic story, I was shot by someone and now my back legs are paralyzed. I arrived at MaxFund almost a year ago, the kind humans at MaxFund came to my rescue and gave me hope for a new life!
While I might not walk like other dogs, I'm still full of hope and ready to share so much love. I've had a rough start, but I'm a fighter and a survivor. I found my way to MaxFund and they saved my life and gave me the chance to keep going, even though I am now paraplegic. I have a special wheelchair that helps me move around and navigate all of life's twists and turns. My wheelchair is my happy place! When I get strapped in, I know it's go time! I can zoom and run and play just like a normal dog! I even get to play in playgroups with my dog friends!
It took a lot for me to get here, so I take a little time to warm up to new people. I need someone who will be patient and gentle with me while I learn to trust you. I'm a survivor, but my past still leaves me cautious sometimes. Since I lost the ability to use my back legs, I am also incontinent. So I need someone who can help express my bladder. It's part of my routine, and it's just one of the ways I'm different, but with the right care, I'm happy and comfortable.
I might not be the easiest dog, but I promise you that I have so much love to give. I just need a foster or forever family who can meet my medical needs. With time, I'll show you just how amazing I am! I get along with other dogs, and I would do best with a family who is home a lot to take care of me. MaxFund will give my new family a wheelchair, stroller, and any other supplies I need.
I have never given up hope, please come meet me!
