Hello! I'm Miles, a 6-year-old cattle dog mix. I came to MaxFund as a transfer last September. Since getting here, my MaxFund family has been working with me everyday to improve my socialization skills and reduce my reactivity.
I do not remember much about my life before MaxFund, but it must've been traumatic because I am very wary of new people, and do not like being touched until I am 100% comfortable with you. I recently went and lived with a trainer for a few weeks, and did great! I am a perfectly obedient boy, I just take a minute to trust people. Because of this, I will require multiple meet and greets for anyone interested in taking me home!
Once I trust you, I promise to pay you back x1000 with love and affection!
My perfect home would be active, but also quiet and calm. I need to be the only child in the house- human or canine, and stairways or elevators might be too scary for me. Having to encounter a lot of people just to use the bathroom would be too stressful.
I am not comfortable with other animals, this unfortunately means I cannot go to a home with other dogs, cats or kids who are not respectful of my boundaries!
My dream home has a yard or alternative outdoor areas for me to spend my time sniffing and observing the natural world. I love long walks with my favorite people, and I am an great/easy walker.
