Hi, I'm Jasper - a one-year-old with a big heart, a curious nose, and plenty of potential just waiting for the right home to help me shine. I'm still young, which means I'm learning the ropes of being the very best dog I can be, and I'm looking for a human who's ready to be my teammate in that journey.
I'm an active, smart, and affectionate guy once I know you - I love exploring, playing, and making you laugh with my goofy side. I've already learned a lot here, but new places and people can still feel overwhelming sometimes, so I do best with someone who understands canine body language and knows how to help a pup like me settle in.
I like some dogs but not all, so slow and thoughtful introductions are key. I've even had some great off-leash playdates with the right match. Cats? I'm not sure yet. Kids? I'd do best in an adult-only home where I can relax and feel understood.
There are a couple of things you should know so we can set each other up for success:
I'm a bit of a "door-dasher," so you'll need to keep a close eye on me when doors or gates are open.
I once had a habit of nibbling on things I shouldn't (like part of a blanket), so I'll need supervision and safe chew toys to keep me busy.
In my past, there were a couple of moments when I didn't react well to handling - but here at the GTHS, with patience and trust, I've done really well.
What I'm hoping for is a calm, structured home with someone who uses positive reinforcement, understands my signals, and will give me time to adjust. In return, you'll get a loyal, lively companion who will celebrate every success with you - and who will be forever grateful for the second chance you gave him.

My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip.
