Hi Friends,
I'm Bruno - and let's get one thing out of the way: I know I'm handsome. Like, ridiculously handsome. It's honestly a little unfair to the other dogs. I've got the whole tall-dark-and-handsome thing going for me, with soulful eyes and a smile that could melt a popsicle in January.
But behind these good looks is a dog with a big heart... and some big feelings.
I've been at the Georgian Triangle Humane Society longer than most, and I get it - I'm not for everyone. I come with a bit of "fine print," and I'm looking for a very special person to read between the lines and see the good boy underneath.
Let me tell you a bit about myself:
· I LOVE car rides. Like, windows-down, ears-flapping, full-on road trip fantasy.
· I'm a certified Snack Connoisseur. Got treats? We'll be best friends.
· I have a thing for chairs. If it fits, I sit. If it doesn't fit... I still sit.
· I am loyal, goofy, and full of love for my people.
· Once I love you, you've got a ride-or-die dog for life.
Now, let's talk about the tough stuff - because honesty is important in any relationship.
I am a nervous and fearful dog. Not just shy - I mean truly scared of new people and situations. When I'm afraid, I bark (loudly), and I might lunge to keep scary things away. It's not because I'm mean - it's because I don't know how to cope with the world yet. But I want to.
The amazing humans at GTHS have given me a custom behavior plan, special equipment, and so much love. And they're not going anywhere once I'm adopted - you'll get a lot of support, training sessions, training tools, home visits and a consultation with their Behaviour Specialist to help us both succeed.
So, what kind of home am I looking for?
· Adults only, please - I need a calm, mature household.
· No cats, no exceptions. (Sorry, feline friends.)
· Another dog? Maybe! If it's the right fit and they're chill.
· Experienced dog person - someone who knows their stuff, has worked with reactive dogs, and has the time and heart to help me grow.
· Structure, patience, consistency, and a whole lotta love.
I know that sounds like a tall order - and maybe it is. But I'm not looking for just anyone. I'm looking for my person. Someone who sees past the barking, understands my fear, and still wants to help me be the very best Bruno I can be.

My Underdog adoption fee is $100 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip.
