Whitney is a former street cat and was brought inside when she was pregnant with 7 kittens! She is very sweet but is still adjusting to indoor life. Whitney is extremely playful and loves batting her toys around and chasing treats.
She is very affectionate but is not yet okay with being touched. Whitney has been working with a behavior specialist for the past few months and is making slow and steady progress towards being touched.
In the meantime she loves being pet with a back scratcher and will flop and show her belly for you to scratch. She will sometimes softly cry to let you know she would like some attention and often perks up when you walk by with the hope of pets.
She is good with other cats and would likely benefit from a friend but would also be okay alone. Whitney needs an experienced and patient adopter to help her adjust to her new life.
Whitney is negative for FIV and FeLV. She has mild gingivitis and would benefit from tooth brushing and a dental diet. Like all ACR cats, Whitney is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites.
