Meet Fred! Fred is a very sweet boy who is distinguishable from his near-identical brother Barney by his white patch of fur on his chest, his higher-pitch meow, and by being a little chunky.
Fred is the shyer of the pair and will take a little longer to adjust to his new home. He absolutely LOVES belly rubs, especially while lying under a table or against a wall. He will also follow you to the bathroom and rub against your legs. After a few months at his current foster home, he now sleeps at the edge of the bed at night and loves loafing on his favourite arm chair.
Fred's favourite game is the laser pointer and will go nuts if the laser is pointed up against the wall or down the hallway to chase after it.
Fred and his brother Barney are closely bonded - they love sleeping together in their cat tower, grooming each other, and play-fighting. One of their joint interests is watching cat tv on Youtube, especially videos of mice, fish, or squirrels. Fred and Barney will likely do best as the only two cats in the household.
Fred has a history of urinary crystals and needs a prescription diet (his brother is on the same meal plan). He benefits from a low-stress environment as anxiety can make urinary issues worse. As a result of this, he requires careful monitoring of his litter box to ensure he does not have any future blockages. Otherwise he has excellent litter box habits!
Fred is negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Like all ACR cats, Fred is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites.
