Ethel is a happy-go-lucky girl who arrived at the shelter with Lucy, and the two are a bonded pair. They rely on each other for comfort and must be adopted together. Separation causes them significant anxiety, and they are happiest when together.
Ethel is wonderful with people and appears to enjoy other dogs. A slow, positive introduction is recommended when meeting new canine friends. She is a strong, energetic walker who may pull at the beginning of a walk but settles nicely once she has had a chance to release some of her energy.
Ethel is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment. She and Lucy have enjoyed spending time in volunteers' homes on day trips, where they have done very well in a home environment and ride comfortably in the car. They would thrive in a foster or foster-to-adopt home while they continue their recovery.
