Say hello to Smokey! He came to the shelter through no fault of his own, just that pets were not allowed in his family's apartment. Smokey was a bit nervous when he first arrived here, but he is opening up more and more as he gets to know us. He seems to be more comfortable with women, but if men go slow and are patient, he will make friends with them as well! Smokey absolutely loves going for walks and is a very clever dog as well- he is the only dog who has ever figured out how to slide open his guillotine door to let himself into his outside kennel! Smokey would thrive in a home with a patient but active family who is able to take him for lots of walks and stimulate him mentally.
