Meet Nala! She came to the shelter when her family lost their home. Nala is a playful, loving girl who needs a specific approach with a family that will understand her. She loves playing with toys, but can be a bit protective over them. Nala is also very sensitive to things going over her head. She has a very snuggly and cuddly side, and wants physical touch to be on her terms. Nala has good leash manners and is housetrained! She would do best with older children who can understand she does not always like to share. Nala is very popular with our volunteers because of her excellent leash walking skills. One of her fans shared that "It only took some time in the play yard, playing a continuous game of fetch and a little walk on the trail for her to open up to me. Some of the dogs know the benches to be our favorite photo shoot opportunities as volunteers... and Nala is no exception. First stop she hopped right up and cheesed big for the camera. Second stop I took the chance to sit with her, she leaned into me with kisses and a tail wagging! This blonde is so cute and sweet!" Another fan took her for a run with our RACE team and shared that "Nala did wonderful! She had beautiful running in the park manners. She passed humans and dogs well and ran beside her running buddy at a consistent trot by their side the entire time. She also had excellent car manners."
