Meet Shortcake! This sweet and resilient 2-year-old Dachshund/Pit mix is ready to find the forever home she truly deserves. When Shortcake first arrived at our shelter, she was healing from a broken leg-but thanks to lots of TLC, she's made a full recovery. Shortcake has had some tough experiences in her past, which have left her cautious around new people. She may need a few meet-and-greets before she feels safe and comfortable, but once you've earned her trust, you'll see her true self shine through-loving, loyal, and full of cuddles. She's looking for a very patient and understanding adopter who's willing to give her the time and space she needs to build a strong bond. In return, you'll gain a deeply devoted companion.
