Meet Luci - a gentle, 1-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of potential and a longing for a calm, loving home. Luci is a shy soul who didn't get much socialization early on, so the busy shelter environment has been a big adjustment for her. She thrives best in a quieter home with patient, understanding people who can give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell. A home without young children would be ideal for her comfort. Once she starts to trust you, Luci reveals her sweet, affectionate side. She enjoys soft, reassuring pets and absolutely loves chasing squeaky toys-she even likes to carry them around like her own little security blanket. Luci is said to be both house-trained and crate-trained, which makes her an even easier companion. We haven't tested her with other dogs yet, so we're still learning how she might do with furry friends.
