Meet Oliver! This sweet 1 year old terrier mix may have had a rough start, but he's ready to find his happily ever after. Oliver was brought to HSSM on May 1st, 2025, after a kind-hearted citizen found him wandering alone along the sandy shores of Biloxi. Since arriving at the shelter, Oliver has been slowly but surely coming out of his shell. At first, he was a bit shy and unsure, but with some patience, tasty treats, and plenty of belly rubs, Oliver is beginning to show his playful, affectionate side. He's learning that being a shelter dog means lots of love from staff and volunteers, but we know what he really needs is a forever home. Oliver would thrive in a calm, loving environment where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. He would even enjoy the company of another friendly dog to help show him the ropes and remind him how to just be a dog.
