Shiva is a 2-year-old terrier mix with a big heart and a zest for life. She just finished heartworm treatment and is on her way to being healthy, although she still needs to take it easy for a little while. Shiva is an active, playful pup who would thrive with a family that enjoys lots of walks and outdoor adventures. While she does best with someone at home or possibly another pet to keep her company, she's shown to be house-trained and sleeps soundly through the night in her own space. This smart, eager-to-please girl is a joy to train and listens well to her humans. She's not food-aggressive, isn't destructive, and has excellent manners around the house-she's even passed the "shoe test" with flying colors! Loud noises like trains don't bother her, and though she's not a fan of vacuum cleaners, she simply avoids them without fuss. Shiva loves spending time with people and is ready to bond with her forever family. While she may not be the best fit for a home with cats (she loves to chase them!) and would need a proper introduction to small dogs, her friendly nature makes her a wonderful companion.
