Nutmeg is a female tabby kitten, who is looking for a great home. She was saved from neglect, living in a backyard with her siblings when SAAP found her. She learned that people are safe in her foster home and will purr whenever foster mom gives her attention. Nutmeg is making strides with being picked up, but it's not her favorite thing. Her foster family is working with her to get more comfortable being picked up and held. Her adoptive family should continue to work with her, and accept that she may not be extremely affectionate, maybe a little spicy, but definitely enjoys people and wants to hang out nearby!
She's doing well with her litterbox, and her favorite thing is to play! Wand toys, springs, and small stuffies or toss toys make her happy! It's so rewarding to see Nutmeg come out of her shell. She loves her twin sibling, Cinnamon, who is a little more of a lap cat, and easy to pick up and hold. They would be happily adopted together. Kittens always do better with a buddy! If they aren't adopted together, Nutmeg needs a confident, friendly kitten or cat friend in her forever home. She's been introduced to our resident cat, and is curious and interested so far. Slow intros with any other pets are best. Nutmeg''s ideal adopter will be patient with her, and start slow with her in one room, so she can bond with her new family. She will be shy at first and need help to get comfortable. She will grow up to be a wonderful companion and she deserves the best! Nutmeg is spayed and up to date with her vaccinations, dewormer and flea meds.
