Good things come to those who wait! If you think true friendships are earned over time, this handsome guy agrees with you. Beignet, a docile boy, will thrive in a peaceful home where he can acclimate and move at his own pace. Wanting to be loved and appreciated for who he is, he warms up to people slowly. A gentle and patient approach will help him blossom! Being skittish, sudden movements and loud noises are a bit scary for Beignet. Finding a safe place to hide or camp out for a while is his form of self care. He simply needs some alone time and a confidence boost before he's ready to get back in the game.
The good news? He's never been aggressive, hissed or swatted at anyone-he's just a quiet, introverted cat learning how to navigate life and relationships, just like the rest of us. A quick way to bond with Beignet is through food! Churu treats, wet food, and tasty rewards have helped him see that people can be trusted. Once he's comfortable, he's also a fan of gentle chin scratches, playing with his favorite toys, and spending time with his feline sibling.
Beignet's ideal adopter is home a lot, has plenty of patience, and will celebrate small victories over big wins.
Helping a shy cat open up and find his comfort zone is a rewarding experience. The bond you build will be even more special because of the time and care you put into giving him the best life possible.
My adoption fee is $150.00 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia). Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!
