Sweet Ums is a gray tabby Domestic Short Hair who truly lives up to her name. She is a gentle, affectionate girl who shows her love by rubbing against your ankles and curling up beside you on the couch. She loves spending time with big and small humans. While she doesn't enjoy being picked up, she'll politely let you know with a soft meow and otherwise remains calm and sweet.
Sweet Ums is a shy soul and can be timid in loud or busy environments. When things feel overwhelming, she may hide, so she's looking for a patient adopter who will gently encourage her to feel safe and confident exploring her home at her own pace. A quiet household would be ideal for her.
Sweet Ums does have hyperthyroidism which is kept under control with daily medication. True to her gentle nature, she is very easy to medicate.
She prefers to be the only cat, as she does not do well with other cats and may hiss or hide when they are around.
Sweet Ums is fully litter box trained, and enjoys the simple pleasures in life-treats, gentle pets, and brushing sessions. In return, she offers quiet companionship and loving presence.
