Zoey is ready to find her forever - and this tiny girl comes with a whole lot of love to give! Zoey is a sweet 10-year-old Yorkie mix with a serious appreciation for the finer things in life: belly rubs, lap time, bully sticks, and being right next to her favorite human. Zoey is wonderful with kids, loves other dogs, and pretty much ignores cats, making her an easygoing companion for a variety of homes. She's also house-trained, does well on a leash, comes when called, and will happily sit for a treat. And if she rolls onto her back and gives you those puppy-dog eyes, consider yourself officially hired as her belly-rub technician!
Zoey is a sensitive little soul who needs a family willing to give her time to feel comfortable and safe. She's timid at first and doesn't appreciate loud noises or raised voices, so a calm, patient home will help her confidence continue to grow. She also experiences some separation anxiety and is happiest when another dog is around, so she'd love a canine companion or a family where someone is home more often. Thunderstorms are definitely not her favorite thing either, and rainy potty breaks are met with a firm "I'd rather not, thank you!" Give this sweet girl a little patience, a cozy lap, and plenty of belly rubs, and you'll have a devoted companion who will happily spend her golden years by your side.

The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they've already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They've been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they're ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
