Meet Y.T. She entered foster care in April of this year pregnant. She gave birth to five sweet babies and is now looking to find her forever home. Y.T. is loving and likes to rub against her foster mom for attention and affection. She is vocal and has a lot to say, especially when it is breakfast time. She prefers wet food over dry. She also likes to climb. As her babies have started to wean, she has become playful. Y.T. will play with her babies as well as a variety of toys and uses the scratching post. She is also fully litter box trained.
Y.T. will need to be an indoor cat. The major gene that causes her to have a white coat is a dominant masking gene, an allele of KIT which can suppress pigmentation and hearing. Her foster mother believes her hearing and sight are not affected by this gene. However, any interested adopters should research the white coat gene to be ready for any possible future needs.
