Dressed for success with her tall white socks and sleek brindle coat, MAGNOLIA is a snazzy, stellar looking girl! Below all the flash of her beautiful exterior is a girl who has overcome so very much. Having grown up in a home with lots of other dogs who struggled for basic care and food, she arrived so scared but she's now a wiggly hot mess (LOL) in her kennel hoping to be selected for walks. She has moments of being bouyant and happy and then she can go flat and cautious with insecurity! No doubt she's getting more brave by the day, but there is still work to be done. Magnolia loves doggy play groups and is very much in her element zooming around, interacting and making new 4 legged friends. So much so, that we believe she's best suited in a home with other another dog(s) to help show her the ropes. Magnolia is kind, gentle and very sweet natured and has the capacity to be a huge snuggle bug once she knows you. Of note, she tends to be leery/shy of men so patience and treats will win her over. She's starting to figure out the concept of toys and will start to chase a tennis ball for example but then stop midway as if to think, "And I'm do this because??" LOL. On a recent weekend getaway, her foster mom reported that she was crate trained, working towards house training, tolerant of a bath and loved riding shotgun in her car. The sky is truly the limit for Magnolia and if you are attracted to the underdog and have time and patience to work with Magnolia, she'd LOVE to meet you!!
Facebook Update Sept 29: Look at our bravest of girls MAGNOLIA rocking it out in foster care!! Folks, we keep pushing this great girl because she has come so far from the extremely shy girl upon arrival to a girl who has friendly, waggy tailed moments and a desire to grow and develop into the perfect pet! Very, very dog friendly, the sky is the limit on our 6yrs old, 40lbs gal.
Foster update: She is doing absolutely perfect!! She was definitely very scared of everything at first but she is coming out of her shell fast. I am not sure if she was house broken beforehand, but she has not gone to the bathroom in the house at all! She sleeps through the night perfectly, but she does not seem interested in toys at all. She is definitely showing her hound and becoming very curious. I really hope she can get adopted soon because she is the sweetest girl ever!!!
