You'll find a great friend with coonhound ROSCOE by your side. Our sweet, kind natured fella has never met a stranger and quickly makes friends no matter where he goes. Arriving from a challenging home life, he's beautifully settled in and already was selected to join us for a doggy play group. Roscoe was a natural as he worked the crowd of new faces and new tail wags and seemed to enjoy engaging with others and simply having a nice break/time away from his kennel. In addition to the play group invite, Roscoe also was loaded up to check out the local Tractor Supply Co. Terrific in the car, he was even more magnificent in the store. Quickly swarmed by everyone, we'd not seen him smile this big and for such a long period of time since his arrival at the shelter. Roscoe was very much in his element with folks petting and loving on him and showering him with compliments on how amicable and simply lovely natured he was! We can see Roscoe fitting into most home environments and can't wait to meet the family that gets to call Roscoe their new 24/7 friend. Might that person be you?
Facebook Update May 23: ROSCOE is rocking it out in foster care. Voted Best Smile in the county, our coonhound friend is such a great boy and a true friend to all. He's been super in play groups, he had a terrific off site visit to Tractor Supply Co and now, check out his foster report below!! Foster Report: Mr. Roscoe has been the sweetest boy! Every night he loves to cuddle on the couch after his long walks at the park! He is a bit shy and nervous around strangers and other dogs but he is working on gaining his confidence! He loves getting treats from the staff at tractor supply :)
He is working on house training, he is pretty good about using the bathroom outside overall but has had a couple of pee accidents in the house.
I would describe his personality so far as curious, sweet, cuddly, and quiet. He has not barked at all and only briefly whines when put in his crate. We have gotten him some heavy duty chew toys as he loves gnaw on anything in his crate! He also let me give him a bath this weekend! He is also a 10/10 car buddy, he sits very nicely and patiently on car rides.
