*Bully Mix
*1 yr 5 mos old; 60lbs
*Very friendly, robust, playful fella! He's never met a stranger! Good in doggy play groups but can get overexcited quickly so we keep a close eye on.
*Excellent in foster care. House trained, crate trained, has done well with the foster's grand kids and he loves, loves his toys! They are a must as he loves to chew. Very active, happy, friendly fella. Good in the car. Super snuggly and ready to go and do and explore.

If super outgoing, athletic, on the go...all the time...is your kind of doggy, CYRUS is the one for you!! Found as a stray, poor Cyrus held out hope that his human (who was contacted) would come for him. Sadly, at the end of the day, the reality sunk in for Cyrus (and us!), that his human was not coming for him. True to his spirit and resilience, Cyrus has never lost a beat since his arrival. Graced with a full bodied personality, he is always ready to run and play and would be so fantastic in a busy family where he can be mentally and physically stimulated every day. You'll not find a shy nor cautious bone in Cyrus as he aims to stay busy and attract as many new friends as possible. Cyrus has done well in doggy play groups but there's a lot of umph to him so it's possible not all dogs will appreciate his play style. Cyrus might offer up that HE is really the only one YOU need by your side. That's a smart boy, our Cyrus! Check out our friendly faced boy Cyrus and let the good times roll.
Update Jan 25: When we last saw CYRUS, he was being loaded up into his foster mom's car! Fast forward 2 days and just look at the fun he's having and the detail we have on how perfect he might be in YOUR home!! Cyrus is one of our longer term doggies on the adoption floor and he's done an excellent job in maintaining his happy state but at the end of the day, he needs a home. Can you help? Please, let's hear from you!!! Note: 1.5 yrs old; 60lbs
Foster update: Cyrus is a busy pup, full of energy. Chews most anything, so toys are a must for him! We are not using a crate with him. He goes to the door when he needs to go to the bathroom, so he's trained to go out. I have 3 grandchildren and he's fine around them. He's strong though so I watch closely that he doesn't knock them down. He plays hard, so he sleeps deep. He snores lol.
Volunteer Update Feb 9: This is Cyrus!! He has won my superstar today! He was a very good listener and we had so much fun playing tug of war. He looks silly with his ears up so you may not recognize him.
Cyrus is a big, playful goofball with such fun energy! I try to take him out every time I'm at Oconee to help him get his wiggles out, and he absolutely loves it. One of his favorite things is watching the sheep and playing a good game of tug-of-war.
He has made phenomenal progress on the leash and with barrier reactivity toward other dogs. Giving him clear structure and being firm but fair with him has made a night-and-day difference. Now that he is more familiar with me, he's a total love bug. After playtime, he's all about affection and happily spends time giving kisses. Cyrus is such a fun, rewarding dog to work with and has so much potential.
