Aged to perfection!! Our lovely blue pit PEARL is such a good girl. Arriving as a stray, she was looking kind of rough and worn and underweight, but no matter to her as she was simply pleased to have good grub, volunteers and staff to love on her and the prospect of landing a new full time pet position. Svetlana is kind and gentle natured, polite and soft in her ways. Never in a rush, she's a total limp leash kind of girl. She has one speed....slow and steady. Wish to stop and smell the roses? She's right there, happy to help you enjoy this simple act. PEARL is graced with a happy, carefree disposition and oh, the lucky family that gets to call this gem of a doggy their new companion pet. Come and meet her, won't you? Note: PEARL did a nice job in casually and appropriately meeting another dog as we were out and about.
Foster update Nov 10: Pearl is such an easy, happy girl and who could resist that charming face???. She LOVES all people, is house trained, doesn't need a crate as she is very well behaved, and is very quiet. She is still on daily medication and will be for at least the next 3-4 months. We don't know if she will fully recover or if she will have some scarring in her lungs from a terrible fungal infection. She loves playing fetch with the tennis ball but does get winded easily so we only play for short periods of time but then is ready to come in for a snack and a long rest.
Foster Update Dec 31: Foster mom: She continues to be very happy and easy going. She's super chill and relaxed and totally lights up when I first open her door every morning. She greets me with a smile and a little dance, happily goes out for a quick potty and ready to come in for breakfast. Her day consists of lots of naps in between a few games of fetch. She still has a lot of love to give ??
