March 2026: It's hard to believe it's been close to 2 yrs since we adopted siblings FREYA and SHADOW. They are now back under our care and what magnificent doggies they've grown into! Initially arriving as 10 mos old teens, they still had some growing to do and now in the 60lbs range, they are in their full glory! Super, super friendly, engaging and very playful, it's a joy to watch these siblings run and romp and have a fun time goofing off together. Shadow is more inclined to go fetch a ball (while hoping it will squeak) while Freya's preference is to get some body rubs from you. Both love human interaction and being in the thick of things. They are true beauty in motion as they stretch their legs, banter with each other and then nicely trot over to you to place their heads in your lap. It's our honor to have these lovely labs under our care again and while we would love to see them rehomed together, still we are open to them parting company. Please ask for Freya and or Shadow today.
Update March 2026: Graced with big, bold personalities and a high play drive, it's a constant go go when we let these fun characters loose in our play yard. Shadow in particular loves toting tossed balls around while Freya is more apt to quickly get her paws in your lap! These labs are very leggy (perhaps a nod to some Dane in them??), sport shiny coats, are in good health and great spirits. Very, very friendly and ready to give 110% of themselves to their new humans, we'd love to see them head home together but it's also Ok if they part company. Note: 2 yrs 9 mos old; 60lbs range
More about me June 12, 2024: Who is that pretty lady with the endless smile and friendly, welcoming aura?? If you guessed teen sensation FREYA, then you are correct! With her playful, youthful, giggly personality, everyone is reaching for Freya. This beautiful lady is excellent on the leash, has done a great job at off site adoption events and interacts very well with other dogs both male and female. Freya excels at loving and doting on her humans and has been a quick study in mastering "sit" and also "down." Toss a toy and she'll give you a look that might say, "Well, you can go fetch it as I'd rather chill by your side." LOL. While Freya has a fun, youthful feel to her, she also has a well mannered, calm side and truly brings the best of both worlds to her new family. Don't take our word for it though...please come on by and give her a test drive yourself!
Facebook Post June 12, 2024: Look who's pretty in pink! It's our fun-loving, spectacularly sweet labby teen FREYA! Folks, this great girl has been flying under the radar with no one noticing her. Just 11 mos old, she's silly, goofy and very happy and loving. Never meeting a stranger, she's been great in interacting with other dogs (male and female) and did a wonderful job working our off site adoption event last Saturday. During photos today, we started off with just a bandana on to dress her up and in no time, she was fully decked out in a sleeveless summer shift looking oh, so swank! While modeling in her dress, true to her teen character, she thought it would be great fun to toss the bandana in the air and lightly pull and tug on it!! There's that "lab" in her genes working!!
Fox News Carolina contributor on Four Legged Friends show June 18, 2024: Of course I am biased, but gheez, the folks on this news set were beyond smitten with me. They were gaga with how well mannered, peaceful and gentle natured I was. Not to mention, I gracefully inspected the main news room area where reporters were working hard on that next "news scoop" from their phone and computers. The comments were literally flying around me: "What a beauty! Sleek black coat- just lovely!" "She's mild mannered and polite and what a love!' "Oh, I need her. She's perfect in every way." Alas, I think everyone was at their pet limit so I'm still working hard at finding my new family. I'll add I was really awesome under the hot lights on the set and with that big camera zooming in on me. I sat beautifully and smiled and was super charming. I was perfect in so many ways.
Facebook Post June 25, 2024: Pretty lady FREYA is still in the hunt for a new home. When we last checked in with Freya, she was on the set of #FoxNewsCarolina. She was a huge hit there...so big in fact ...we are surprised the Fox folks did not sign her up for her own tail waggin' good time show! Freya pranced right through the busy news room, the heads all turned and gasped in a happy way and then she totally rocked it out interviewing on the set. Still just a teen on paper, she has GREAT manners, is easy to handle, super with other dogs and honestly, ticks off all the boxes folks look for in a great all around family pet. Check out of our celebrity doggy and expect to be impressed!
