When his family moved, he along with his friends Auggie and Nala, found themselves homeless. On a bright note, Nugget has not wasted any time in settling in and finds new friends at every turn and corner. Very outgoing, loving and affectionate, he's sporting some extra "winter" pounds on his frame right now but he's not really worried about it ...in part because he's a pretty carefree kind of guy...but also because speedo bikini weather is several months away! Graced with a good attitude and as amiable as they come, it's easy to be quickly smitten with our sweet and snuggly Nugget. Please come and see for yourself.
Facebook Update Jan 31: We are starting to hear from some of the newer storm foster dogs and this morning, it's all about NUGGET!! He was in foster for the ice storm and was superb. He was returned to the shelter and now, he's in a Clemson student foster home making a warm, wonderful splash on everyone!! A few notes on him: 7.5 yrs old; great in the car. very snuggly/cuddly guy...all 55lbs of him!!
Foster update: He is one of the kindest dogs i've ever met and the first dog i've ever fostered! He is so precious and cuddly!! He is doing great in the house and in the crate! Very well trained and hasn't had any accidents in the house.
Vol Update: Nugget is one of my absolute favorites. He's not very interested in toys, but he is amazing on a leash and truly shines during one-on-one time. What he loves most is simple affection. Petting him, sitting with him, and giving him attention brings him so much joy. He's calm, sweet, and has the most gentle presence. Nugget would be perfect for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion.
