*Border Collie Mix
*1 1/5 yrs old; 36 lbs
*Energetic girl who loves to be a part of the action. Ready to go and do and be right by YOUR side!
*A little shy in her first play group but slowly started to engage. Dog friendly but not confident in meeting new dogs.
What a beauty! With her muted grey coat and white undercarriage, McFlurry is turning all the heads. Arriving with another adult and 3 puppies (one who was her spitting image was just adopted), this whole family is simply exquisite. McFluffy is still a bit shy and hesitant especially when we are getting her out of the kennel, but she's getting into her groove especially when she's outside in one of our play yards and she's surrounded by family. Calm and relaxed and polite, she's elegance in motion. McFluffy has done a nice job in randomly meeting other dogs and has a soft, snuggly feel to her. We will keep checking in with her to discover even more of her pet layers so check back in with us or simply come by and experience her first hand. You WILL be smitten. What a lovely girl!!!
Facebook Update July 1: Stunning Border Collie Mix McFLURRY was the shyest in her group of 5 upon arrival and what a joy it is to learn all that she is able to offer her new family. In her foster home, she quickly settled in and had so much to share with her humans! First off, her breed is now really shining so if you are into BC's, check her out. Think busy bee and the need to work the brain and limbs and lungs daily! She's now back at the shelter and ready to show you what really makes her tick!! Note: 1.5 yrs old; 36lbs
*Ready to go and do. If you are cooking in the kitchen, she's right by your side pace by pace and like any self respecting doggy, wishes for a taste! She's your shadow. Grab that leash and she's super excited and ready to explore with you! She might even give you a few "herding" circles if your pace is not quiet enough for her! Count on her to check in with you as well. Has extra energy to spare. Excitable and ready for the next activity. Car rides are cool so load her up and go!!
*Smart girl. Quickly learned "sit" and "down." Very food motivated.
*A little timid around other dogs. Will back away and find her safe spot. In her foster home, she had a favorite corner where she would go when she felt overwhelmed and or needed a break.
*Was a little mouthy and grabby when she was looking for attention.
*Loves ice cubes, afraid of wheelchairs and not keen on rollies, enjoyed the outside deck area, no interest in the dog pool and was not afraid of the big thunderstorms we recently had.
*Has 3 speeds: off, wander, fast. Will chase a ball sometimes but not grab or return it. No real interest in toys.
