To know me is to love me. When I know YOU, I love you. Very, very much! Don't be fooled if I'm a bit "cool" to you when we first meet. It's just how I am with new humans. My whole life has been turned upside down and settling into the shelter has been a bit hard. The great news is that I Iucked out in finding an amazing human here. He was very patient and just sat with me- no pressure- no agenda- just sat with me. He helped me over my hurdle and now, I absolutely swarm him with adoration. I kiss him with great passion. I hug him. I am in his lap. I love him with my whole heart. I share this because my new human friend is not able to adopt me but I wish for you to know all the pet potential you'll find in me if you give me a chance. In my comfort zone, I'm very affectionate, interactive, playful and have the perfect amount of pep and bounce in my step. All smiles, hip swivels and positive energy (once I know you!), I'm just 1.5 yrs old and many would say an ideal size just shy of 40lbs. Did I mention I'm also super cute and appealing in my snowy white coat and ridiculously cute ears that curve into each other sprouting out of my head? Facebook update Feb 4: Was it love at first sight? Well, it surely could have been!! We welcomed Clemson student Maggie back with open arms (we had not seen her since winter break) and she jumped right in and made a fast friend. What's really special about this series of pics is that it was not long ago that our 4 legged friend SHADOW was very scared and overwhelmed. She's made a huge turn around and now just look at her! Arriving with several other underserved dogs, she is cute, cute, cute, 1 yr old, 40lbs and ready to find her full time Valentine! She's snuggly, huggy, playful, social and interactive. Her perky/pointy ears almost criss cross each other and are the icing on the cake of this sweet delight! Please ask for Shadow today!
Facebook Update Feb 16: Here's something we love!!!
Meet Staff Member Isiah. He was very instrumental in helping SHADOW adjusting to the shelter when she first arrived. She was super frightened and Isiah took the time to just sit in her kennel and help her settle in. When we snapped these pics a couple of weeks ago, she was still rather shy around most folks but Isiah walked by when we were doing pics and her whole persona totally changed! We invited him in to help with pics and you can see how much she adores him.
Today, SHADOW is that kind of silly, sweet, kissy girl to everyone. She was leading a very challenging life prior to her arrival and would love nothing more to finally be a treasured family pet. She's currently sharing her space with YETI (from the same prior home) and the 2 of them are like jumping Mexican beans when they see folks coming their way and when they are in the play yard together. Please ask for SHADOW (1.5 yrs old) and while you are at it YETI (11mos) and give them the life they both deserve! Hope to hear from you soon!
Facebook Update March 5: How can you NOT smile when you see these lovely, lovely dogs out and about and having such a grand time? It was not that long ago when they arrived super thin and incredibly shy. Today, they are huge jumping beans of joy hoping you will notice them in our kennel area. Take them out for a walk and feel their love and complete joy of having full bellies, sun on their shoulders and love and TLC from the volunteers. Your adventure will continue when you let them loose in a play yard and watch the action amp up by adding rope toys to the mix. Who are these great doggies??? YETI and SHADOW!
